Why REMOVU K1?

We all love to document our adventures. We found existing cameras were taking us out of the moment. We were spending too much time assembling/dissembling our gear, playing around with settings and lugging around heavy equipment. That is why we created the K1.

The K1 has a built-in LCD screen and gimbal. There is no need to attach an external monitor or connect the camera to a gimbal. K1 is extremely lightweight and compact, perfect for everyday use and traveling. All you need to do is turn the power on and start living in the moment.

Integrated 3-Axis Motorized Stabilizer

K1 is equipped with a 3-axis stabilizing gimbal, manufacture with world class brushless DC motors. This means you get super clear images and smooth stable footage.

K1 has 4 different modes to help you turn your adventures into a movie. There is Pan and Follow mode, Motion time-lapse mode and Selfie mode.

Stunning 4K Ultra HD @ 30FPS

Capture your life's moments in stunning 4K @ 30FPS or take beautiful 12MP photos. To ensure that everything is in the shot, the K1 has a custom designed F2.8 wide angle lens. K1 also has a 4-way joystick that allows you to control the camera's position. K1 can also capture super slow-motion in Full HD at 120FPS.

Film yourself easily with 'Selfie' mode

With K1's 50 centimeters' focal lens, you can get up close for those perfect self-portraits. The trigger on the back of the K1 handgrip allows you to quickly switch to 'Selfie' mode. And with the built-in 1.5" LCD screen, you can easily preview what the camera sees or playback your recorded videos and photos instantly.

Smart Battery

The K1 is equipped with a powerful interchangeable smart battery, providing up-to 4 hours of continuous filming on a single charge. To recharge, all you need is a power source; no bulky chargers are required. You won't miss another moment. You also can record video or take a photo while charging the smart battery.

REMOVU K1 App

The K1 mobile app for iOS and Android, allows you to control the K1 remotely.  Start/stop recording, take a photo, change camera settings, preview your footage and remote-control the camera's position.

Built-In Microphone and Mic Port

K1 has a high-quality built-in microphone that captures audio while recording video. Or you can use the 3.5mm jack to connect K1 to an external microphone. The K1 Accessory Kit comes with a high-sensitivity Omni-directional Microphones.

Timeline

Our Story

In 2014, we released our first product, the REMOVU R1, the world's only wearable Wi-Fi remote viewer for GoPro camera.

Shortly after the R1, we released the M1+A1, a rainproof wireless microphone and receiver for GoPro cameras. Another world's first. There is no other rainproof wireless mic for GoPro cameras.

Then we developed our first gimbal for action cameras, the REMOVU S1. The S1 was the world's first rainproof 3-axis gimbal stabilizer with a detachable remote controller. The S1 help put REMOVU on the map and obtained great brand recognition and trust in the community.

Our engineering team has rich experience in developing digital cameras and camcorders for Samsung Electronics. With our knowledge acquired from developing the S1 gimbal, we know that the REMOVU K1 will be a leader in the handheld camera stabilizing market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does REMOVU have any experience in manufacturing cameras?

• Yes, we were originally a camera engineering team with experiences in developing digital cameras and camcorders for Samsung Electronics. We also developed many action cameras for other brands before we start REMOVU.

Can I mount a smartphone to the K1?​

• No. However, there is a 1.5-inch LCD on the K1 that allows you to see what the camera sees, as well as it allows you to see and change the camera settings.

Can I mount the K1 to a tripod?

• Yes. There is a 1/4 inch connection on the bottom of the K1 where you can attach a tripod.

Is the K1 waterproof/rainproof?

• No. Please avoid exposing your K1 to water or moisture. Any water damage will not be covered by warranty.

What kind of SD card does the K1 support?

• We recommend UHS-1 class or higher. The maximum size SD card supported is 128GB.

Can I do firmware upgrades via the app?

• Yes, this feature will be included in a future version that we will release via Google Play/Apple Store.

Is there a delay while streaming from the camera to the app?

• Yes, there is a delay of about 0.3 seconds.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

• About 3 hours.

How do I charge the battery?

• You can charge the battery via a USB cable or charge it using the K1 cradle that is sold separately.

Is the battery interchangeable?

• Yes, the battery is interchangeable.

• Your credit card will be charged immediately after your order is placed.

Do you ship anywhere in the world?

• No, we do not ship to following destinations: Russia, Ukraine
  We are unable to ship to these countries due to their local customs issues. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.

What are the shipping costs?

• There is a flat rate of $15 on all K1 orders.

What is your refund policy?

• We will issue you a full refund if you cancel your order before we ship out your package. Otherwise, you are not eligible for a refund unless it’s covered by the warranty.

Does the price include VAT and other taxes?

• VAT and/or other duties are not included in the price and may be added in accordance with your local regulations.
