Garmin tactix Bravo

If the Garmin fenix 3 is the Hummer of GPS watches, the tactix Bravo is the M4 Sherman, bringing you even more in the durability and tactical departments. This watch has all of the elements of the fenix 3 (yes all of them) and then some. It features a Sapphire lens display with a knurled bezel coated in a carbon-like protective material. In other words, it is built to last and that’s a good thing since it is specifically designed for public safety operators such as myself (just kidding…only in my dreams).
The tactix Bravo comes with either a silicon strap or two nylon straps (black and olive). It also features a matte finish that is supposedly non-reflective and the display (like that of the fenix 3) is color and fully sunlight readable. It also has a dual mode backlight to support regular use and operation with night vision goggles, which is quite literally ‘The Business’.
Pre-loaded on the tactix are various tactical features, including a dedicated tactical activity profile, Jumpmaster activity, projected waypoints and dual-format position format GPS Coordinate Data Page that supports MGRS, and Degrees Minutes Seconds, among other things. You get all of this in addition of course to the activity and sleep tracking, multi-sport, and smart watch features that you would on the fenix 3. The tactix is therefore a souped-up fenix 3 built for the brave.

The tactix Bravo will retail for $699.99 USD and is available sometime in Q1 2016. Here’s the link to purchase the tactix with my good friends over at Clever Training. If you purchase this way it helps me big time.
