OrCam MyMe – AI for Humans

About

Using the most advanced wearable AI-driven computer vision, the OrCam MyMe device instantly recognizes faces and tells you who is in front of you – in real time – by sending a notification to your phone or smartwatch. You can then tag and organize people in circles such as Work, Friends, and Family.
Balance your life with OrCam MyMe! Beyond individual interactions, the device keeps you aware of your ongoing social wellness and setting goals to strike the optimal balance of your most precious resource – your time.
OrCam MyMe automatically scans and syncs a business card or name tag, or online friends – keeping you focused on the person while ensuring you can get in touch later. Instantly recall people you met at a meeting or social event – and never forget a face again

OrCam MyMe App

OrCam MyMe respects your privacy. It finds faces and computes a signature for each. The app shows a blurred image as a face thumbnail to help you tag your acquaintances. No other images are recorded or photos taken and privacy is guarded by keeping all data stored on the device, and never sent to the cloud.
If you are over the age of 16 years old, would like to use the most advanced wearable AI-driven computer vision device for your personal, non-commercial use and are willing to accept our terms and conditions, we offer you to join us on a journey that will change wearable devices as we know them today.
The cutting edge nature of the technology and forward-thinking concept are a perfect fit for the Kickstarter audience. The early adopters of OrCam MyMe will blaze a trail for so many more people around the world.
The OrCam MyMe community will continue to drive the development of this 21st century wearable’s functionality and continue to create positive impact on society. People who enjoy the bridge between technology and society are going to be thrilled with the added value OrCam MyMe will bring to their lives.
OrCam Technologies Ltd. is the world’s most advanced wearable AI-driven artificial vision innovator. OrCam harnesses the power of artificial vision by incorporating pioneering technology into a wearable platform. The company is already well known for its OrCam MyEye device, which since 2015 has disrupted the assistive technology space for people who are blind, visually impaired or have reading difficulties.
The concept for OrCam MyMe was originally announced in 2016, and through optimization of the hardware, software, and extensive beta testing, OrCam MyMe is now ready to be entrusted into the hands of the first true users.
OrCam MyMe is designed to run cutting edge deep networks for processing of visual information yet a fully charged battery holds for a full day of normal use. Weighing in at only 0.6 ounces/17.2 grams, it includes a unique combination of hardware and software custom built to optimize the power of the OrCam deep learning AI algorithms and the 13 megapixel sensor.
OrCam MyMe tackles the struggle of identifying social context, as many of us in particular have a hard time putting a face to a name. In the information age of the 21st century, our brains are no longer able to retain the vast numbers of people with whom we interact. Encountering hundreds of new people in a single day at a social event or thousands of online friends is beyond our physical ability.
That’s where OrCam MyMe’s technology comes in – now you can feel confident with your social interactions, for the future. It’s a companion, a second brain, a third eye, notifying you of the names of the people you’re supposed to know. Make sure you’re spending the right amounts of time with each of your circles, set goals for yourself, and review your interactions going back a day, week, month or more.
OrCam MyMe communicates via Bluetooth through a companion app on your smartphone or smartwatch – they are both separate, but essential, components to the integral system. The intuitive app provides push notifications to let you know when someone it recognizes is in front of you, when you last met, where it happened, and how much time you spent together.
Within the app you manage and tag circles of people and can customize statistical data that is most important to you, providing you with the tools you need to bring better time management and balance into your life.
The OrCam MyMe app also connects your online friends, so you can be connected from the first time you use it. You can also tag a friend, family member, or coworker that OrCam MyMe does not yet know and connect them to a contact already in your phone.
Overlayed on your calendar, you can see a daily, weekly, or monthly summary of your activity. Create a close family group of your parents, siblings, and children. Create an extended family group of your cousins, aunts, and uncles. Create a group of high-end clients. Create any kind of group you want, set goals, and optimize your life balance.
Note: While more languages will be developed, starting out, the app will only be available in English.
OrCam was co-founded in 2010 by Prof. Amnon Shashua and Mr. Ziv Aviram, who are also the co-founders of Mobileye, the collision avoidance system leader and autonomous driving innovator, which was acquired by Intel Corp. in August 2017.
Powered by leading minds in the Computer Vision and Machine Learning fields, OrCam’s team includes dedicated software, computer and electrical engineers, hardware design experts, and a passionate customer service team.

Prof. Amnon Shashua, Co-founder, Chairman and CTO.

He holds the Sachs chair in computer science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His field of expertise is computer vision and machine learning. For his academic achievements, he received the MARR prize Honorable Mention in 2001, the Kaye innovation award in 2004, and the Landau award in exact sciences in 2005.
Before co-founding OrCam, Prof. Shashua co-founded Mobileye, with Mr. Ziv Aviram, where he currently serves as CEO and CTO. He is also a Senior VP of Intel Corp, leading Intel’s Autonomous Driving Group. Prof. Shashua leads Mobileye’s system-on-chip and computer vision algorithm development that is trailblazing the Autonomous Driving revolution and is already installed in over 30 million cars from 25 automakers relying on this technology to make their vehicles safer to drive.

Mr. Ziv Aviram, Co-founder, President and CEO.

Before co-founding OrCam, Mr. Aviram co-founded Mobileye, with Prof. Amnon Shashua, an Israeli technology company that develops vision-based advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) providing warnings for collision prevention and mitigation. Today the vast majority of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers rely on Mobileye technology to make their vehicles safer to drive. In August 2014, Mobileye claimed the title for largest Israeli IPO ever, and in August 2017, Intel acquired Mobileye for a valuation of approximately $15.3B, the biggest ever acquisition of an Israeli Hi-Tech company.
Prior to Mobileye, Mr. Ziv Aviram was the CEO of three leading Israeli companies in their fields. Mr. Aviram holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben-Gurion University.
In order to achieve the perfect look and feel of OrCam MyMe, we created several prototypes. We ultimately succeeded in integrating highly advanced AI and facial recognition technology, along with a 13 megapixel camera, into a tiny device weighing a bit more than half an ounce. Product development began four years ago, but the idea for the wearable device was first conceived in 2012. The initial design mock-ups were finalized in 2014, with the team managing to integrate all of the electronics, sensors, and battery into the first functioning prototype in 2015.
Since that time, user testing has been extensive, with the design cycling through multiple iterations until arriving at its now final, market-ready form. OrCam MyMe has been subjected to extensive reliability, electrical, and environmental testing since the initial prototype.
OrCam MyMe and its companion iOS and Android apps are scheduled to be shipped out to the first users in March 2019, to arrive within 14 business days.
The device will be shipped worldwide, with the exception of countries under United States or Israel embargo. We reserve the right to cancel orders we deem to be breaking said embargoes.
International shipping (outside of the U.S. or Israel) could possibly be delayed or cancelled due to foreign customs and import regulations. In the event of a cancelled shipment, the full pledge amount will be refunded.
Customs fees - if any are applied - will be reimbursed by OrCam, Inc. provided proper documentation is supplied.
