애플 기상천외 통신기능 자석펜

애플이 지난해 출원한 것으로 확인된 기상천외한 맥세이프(Magsafe) 자석커넥터시스템이 화제다. 태블릿과 함께 돌아온 스타일러스펜 촉 끝에 암호화한 자석을 붙여 스타일러스펜 시대의 보안에 대비할 수 있는 기술이다. 

씨넷은 9일(현지시간) 애플이 지난 해 7월 자석을 암호화하는 기술을 확보해 특허출원했으며 이 기술은 한 단말기 데이터를 다른 단말기로 옮기도록 해주면서 엄청난 잠재적 사용자 수요의 토대를 놓을 것으로 기대되고 있다고 전했다. 

처음 출원사실을 확인한 페이턴틀리애플에 따르면 맥세이프 커넥터는 자석을 이용해 자체적 기능을 하는 것은 물론 다양한 단말기를 연계시켜 어떤 정보가 연결되는지를 알려주는 통신포트기능까지 할 수 있다.

또 특허출원 내용을 보면 애플은 암호화된 자석을 이용해 아이패드같은 단말기와 스타일러스같은 액세서리를 사용할 때 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 방법을 함께 기술하고 있다. 

보도는 또 스타일러스펜 촉 부분에 프로그래밍할 수 있는 자석을 장착해 새로운 데이터전송 방식 및 새로운 유저인터페이스 방식을 열어 줄 가능성에 주목했다. 

페이턴틀리애플의 관계자는 이 특허출원기술을 실제로 사용해 보았으며 이를 통해 데이터를 자석ID에서 인식토록 하거나 전자기기냉각시스템방식의 향상, 그리고 모든 종류의 새로운 촉각센서를 이용한 피드백효과 등을 확인할 수 있었다고 말했다. 

보도는 이 기술이 오늘날 점차 부상하는 또다른 특허출원내용인 무선충전 관련기술과 연계돼 있는 점에 주목했다. 즉 이 기술은 최근들어 가속화양상을 보이는 유도방식의 무선충전 기술에 사용되는 자기장을 사용하고 있다. 

씨넷은 애플이 수많은 특허를 내놓고도 제품에 적용하지 않고 있는 만큼 이같은 애플의 기술활용 용도에 대한 추정도 확실하지는 않다고 주의를 환기했다.

몸개그의 달인 미스터빈 아저씨가 돌아왔다.

이분도 세월을 이기지는 못하시는 구나.

어렸을때 명절만 되면 미스터빈 시리즈를 하곤 했었는데, 온가족이 정말 재밌게 봤던 기억이.

나는 그때 이분이 정말 말을 못하시는 분이 아닐까 생각했었다.

미스터빈에서 바보 같지만 잘 보면 천재성이 있는 캐릭터다.

그래도 이분 미스터빈 전에는 007같은 영화에서도 출현했었던걸로 기억한다.

이영화엔 반가운 분이 또 한분 등장하시는데 바로 엑스파일의 여주인공 스컬리 누님.

소니 Xperia S 3월 영국 출시 예정

블랙베리 10 이미지 공개

BOOM! Last week's leaked 2012 BlackBerry Roadmap slide deck brought with it a ton of goodies for the new year, but one thing that was missing was a fresh look at a BlackBerry 10Smartphone Superphone. Consider it found though, with the slide above featuring an image and some details on the much-rumored about BlackBerry "London". 

The story here isn't cut and dry though. Back in November a first photo of a BlackBerry London dummy unit hit the internet, but that BBX phone -- it wasn't re-labeled BlackBerry 10yet -- featured a hardware design that was quite different than the phone in the image above. The first photo of London featured angular edges and a design language more akin to the uber-expensive Porsche Design P'9981 Smartphone by BlackBerry. 

By contrast, the BlackBerry London in the image above looks much more like a phonifiedBlackBerry PlayBook, featuring the rounded corners and all-black look of RIM's first tablet. And while we heard the first photo of London was legit as RIM hardware concept, we've been hearing for an even longer time now that the first QNX-based hardware was more like a downsized PlayBook. The plot thickens.

All confusion aside though, our excitement is building for the next-generation of BlackBerry phones that are due out later this year.Word has it that London is actually slated for the UK (go figure), while two other models -- "Laguna" and "Lisbon" are in development for the US market targeting AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. We wouldn't be surprised at all to see Laguna and Lisbon actually launched prior to London. With BlackBerry still the #1 Smartphone in the UK, it's in America that RIM needs to first make a big splash with BlackBerry 10.

Talking hardware for a moment, we're hearing that both the TI OMAP5 and Qualcomm chipsets are being tested (1.5GHz dual core processors). If we look ahead by looking at BlackBerry history, it could be that Qualcomm is for the CDMA carriers. All we know is that with the BlackBerry PlayBook rocking and rolling the PlayBook OS at 1Ghz, that with 1.5Ghz as a baseline BlackBerry 10 phones will not be lacking in the performance department.

새로운 개념의 해치백, 시트로엥 'DS3' 곧 국내상륙

푸조의 공식 수입사인 한불모터스는 올해 프랑스 브랜드 '시트로엥' 주력 모델을 국내에 선보인다는 계획을 밝혔다.

시트로엥은 1919년 '앙드레 시트로엥'에 의해 설립된 프랑스 자동차 회사로 파격적이고 창의적인 디자인, 독창적인 기술을 바탕으로 뛰어난 모델들을 지속적으로 선보였다. 현재 시트로엥은 80여 국가에 1만개가 넘는 네트워크를 가지고 있을 만큼 큰 규모를 자랑하고 있다.

한불모터스는 작년 한 해 2010년보다 38.1% 증가한 2636대를 판매하며, 꾸준한 상승세를 이어오고 있다. 푸조는 2011년 5월에 선보인 뉴 508시리즈의 꾸준한 판매와 SUV 3008 시리즈 등 주력 모델의 선전으로 2011년 국내 수입차 시장 점유율을 2.5% 이상으로 끌어올렸다.

이런 상승세를 바탕으로 한불모터스는 상반기에 시트로엥 브랜드를 한국에 소개, 푸조 브랜드와 합쳐 올 한 해 동안 5천대 이상을 판매한다는 청사진을 제시했다.

시트로엥 브랜드 중 한국에 첫 선을 보일 제품은 해치백 형태의 1600cc급 'DS3' 모델이며, 이후 5도어인 DS4 모델을 선보일 예정이다.

특히 DS3 모델은 2009년 프랑크프르트 모터쇼를 통해 공개된 후 2010년 공식으로 데뷔했으며 감각적이고 개성적인 디자인과 지붕, 바디, 리어뷰 미러, 스티어링 휠을 운전자 취향에 맞게 선택할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다.
